Evening for a Drug-Free Transylvania
The future of a generation is at stake!
More and more young people are falling victim to drugs. But it is still not too late to act so they do not become part of the statistics.
Today, drugs no longer start on the street, but on the screen of a phone. “Trendy” videos, social media influence, and peer pressure lead more and more young people to experiment — often without realizing what they are getting into.
The “Drug-Free Transylvania” lecture is an awakening. A real, honest, and inspiring event where specialists, teachers, parents, and young people stand together for the future generation.
More than 350 participants — a strong signal that drug prevention is more important than ever.
About the event
The National Theatre of Târgu Mureș hosted the “Evening for a Drug-Free Transylvania” community event, where parents, educators, professionals, and young people gathered to work together for a safer future.
The event was organized by Vincze Róbert, a local entrepreneur, in partnership with the Mureș County School Inspectorate, the Marosszék Community Foundation, the Mureș Hungarian Student Council, and the Foundation for a Drug-Free World.
Az eseményt Vincze Róbert helyi vállalkozó szervezte a Maros Megyei Tanfelügyelőség, a Marosszéki Közösségi Alapítvány, a Maros Megyei Magyar Diáktanács és a Drogmentes Világért Alapítvány partnerségével.
What is the event about?
We speak honestly about the real consequences of drug use — not from textbooks, but from real life. We show how to recognize the signs before problems occur.
You will hear stories that are shocking, but also hopeful. And in between there is humor, music, and community — because prevention is not a boring lecture, but a real experience.
Program and speakers
The program was opened by the high-quality performance of children’s folk dance groups from the Nyárád region, followed by speakers who share their thoughts on responsibility for young people every day:
Vincze Róbert
On the importance of prevention and community responsibility
Antal Levente
Deputy Chief Inspector of Mureș County
On the role of teachers and parents
Kolozsvári-Kovács Edward
Three-time world armwrestling champion
On the power of sport and community
Németh Gergő
Head of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World in Hungary
With 15 years of experience, he showed how to speak about drugs honestly, without judgment, yet effectively. His practical guidance had a strong impact on teachers and parents.

Participants also had the opportunity to speak personally with the experts — many stayed for a long time, asking questions and exchanging experiences. The level of participation and interest clearly shows: drug prevention is not only relevant, but an urgent issue in Transylvania as well.
Thank you to everyone who was present, who supports this work, and who believes that prevention is a shared responsibility.
What is this event about?
Drugs do not discriminate — but we can choose. Choose knowledge, community, and life. Drug-Free Transylvania. Together.
